St Andrew-by-the-Wardrobe Girls’ Choir
The Girls’ Choir of St Andrew-by-the-Wardrobe, generously supported by The Worshipful Company of Mercers and the residents of Morden College, Blackheath, offers girls in London an opportunity to sing liturgical music of the highest quality and finest tradition. Ben Saul, Choir Director, is a teaching professor at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and a freelance accompanist and choral director. He has a strong history of establishing youth choirs.
The Girls’ Choir regularly rehearses at the church during term-time, and sang alongside the English Chamber Choir at the 50th Anniversary Service of the Re-hallowing of St Andrew-by-the-Wardrobe on Thursday 14 July 2011, and also sang at our recent Patronal Festival and Christmas Carol Service. They will be singing at the Maundy Thursday service on 5 April 2012 at 6.30 pm.
